Felimida macfarlandi, also called Macfarland's nudibranch is a species of colorful sea slug, a dorid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Chromodorididae.[2]
Taxonomy
[edit]This species was first described by Theodore Dru Alison Cockerell in 1901 and named Chromodoris mcfarlandi.[3] Cockerell went on to give a fuller description of this species in 1902.[4] It has also been known as Glossodoris macfarlandi.[1]
Description
[edit]The body grows to a length of 44 mm.[5] The slug is purple with orange stripes, sometimes has a short tail that looks like a flower, and two ear-like spots on the side of the head.

Distribution
[edit]This species occurs in the Pacific Ocean from Central California, USA to Baja California, Mexico.
