PMM

[edit]

PMM or Particle Model of Matter is a set of laws, or a model, developed to help us better understand the way matter works and reacts in different situations.

The Laws

[edit]

All Matter is Made of Particles

[edit]

The first law tells us that all matter is made up of one universal substance; particles. Particles are so small they can not be seen with the naked eye or any form of optical device that humans have made.

All Particles are Constantly Moving or Vibrating

[edit]

Particles within a substance are constantly in motion. Particles within a gas move relatively freely and quite fast in comparison to particles in other forms of matter. Particles in a liquid move fast, but not as fast as particles in a gas and more fast than particles in a solid. Particles within a solid move quite slowly and even may slow down to a point at which they vibrate.

All Particles Have Spaces Between them

[edit]

Adding Heat to Particles Makes them Move Faster and vice versa
