The Zwolle Tamale Fiesta is a local festival held in Zwolle, Louisiana at the Zwolle Festival Grounds. The festival is a celebration of the Spanish and Native American heritage of the area. The Fiesta is held on the second full weekend of October every year. Activities of the festival include carnival rides, trail ride, treasure hunt, mudbog, and of course tamales. There is also a tamale making demonstration, tamale eating completion, along with tamale taste competition. Live musical entertainment is also provided around the clock throughout the various stages of the festival grounds.
