Biography

Lokman Karadag is a political scientist specializing in international relations and strategic studies, with a focus on US-China competition in East Asia and the Pacific. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). His research explores China's military modernization, the security dynamics of the Korean Peninsula, the Taiwan Strait, the South China Sea, and the broader strategic landscape of the US alliance system in the region.

In 2022, Karadag was recognized as an Emerging Leader in the Next Generation Korea Peninsula Specialistsprogram by the National Committee on American Foreign Policy (NCAFP). His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and policy papers, contributing to global discussions on security and geopolitics in the Indo-Pacific.
