I am interested in the language and history of klezmer music. I hope my Wikipedia pages will provide useful information about the language and linguistic origins of the terms used in klezmer music, both in tune titles, and also as individual words. I do not wish to attempt to create a general (mainly) Yiddish dictionary. but to restrict this information to klezmer-specific matters. The information I will put up has been researched, and my pages will include links to (mainly) websites at which more content can be found, and my content can be checked. Duncan piob. ("piob" is the Scots Gaelic for "pipe": one of my instruments is the bagpipes, but I also play other mouth-blown wind instruments, hence my choice of that name).
