Sid Mewara
[edit]Sid Mewara is an Indian television presenter, producer, and former investment banker. He is the co-founder of Filandering Forker Media and co-creator of the documentary series The Big Forkers and I Should Have Stayed Home. His work has been profiled in several national publications including The Hindu, Hindustan Times, and Koimoi.[1][2][3]
Early life and education
[edit]Mewara was born in India and spent his early years traveling as the child of a Master Mariner. After living in Delhi, he moved to South Florida with his family in the early 1990s.[4] He attended Modern School (New Delhi) and Scindia School, and later completed high school at J.P. Taravella High School in Coral Springs, Florida.
He pursued higher education at Johnson & Wales University, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.[5]
Career
[edit]Investment and consulting
[edit]Mewara worked in management consulting and investment banking. He founded SG Capital, providing capital advisory services, and later served as Managing Partner at Capital Union Investments, focusing on early-stage venture investments. He lived in China and managed offices across Asia, with extended time in Singapore, Korea, Japan and Los Angeles.[6]
Filandering Forker Media
[edit]In 2021, Mewara co-founded Filandering Forker Media with his cousin Shashank Jayakumar.[7] The company produces food and travel content, including the series The Big Forkers and I Should Have Stayed Home.
The Big Forkers
[edit]The Big Forkers is a travel series hosted by Mewara and Jayakumar that explores regional cuisines and food stories across India and abroad.[8] The show has covered Goa, Delhi, Bangalore, Kashmir, Ladakh, Thailand, the UAE, and the North East of India.[9][10]
I Should Have Stayed Home
[edit]I Should Have Stayed Home is a travel-adventure docuseries that follows Mewara's journey through the Himalayas. The show won two Asian Academy Creative Awards and was featured by Warner Bros. Discovery.[11]

[edit]Mewara is married with two children. His wife is of Polish and Georgian descent.
