I'm a German, but I've read the most beautiful and impressive books in Russian. I love the German language. I can feel it. As a programmer, I understand English. But everyone demands that I understand it, love it, speaking it. But I can't, because speakers of this language keep my homeland dependent. And if I were capable of crawling, God would have made a worm out of me. But the Saxons emigrated to Albion and contributed. We therefore have common ancestors and a shared responsibility. May they look upon us and enlighten us. Many Germans also live in America. And America is also just a colony of the powerful. Borders are not between peoples; they run strictly between those below and those above. Remember that when your televisions talk about war. No one is our enemy, only our black-sheeped brother. Good Literature unites us, brothers.

That's a brief explanation of why I'm here, as an old grizzly in life and a greenhorn in the Wiki universe, trying to bring some of my favorite reading material to the culturally interested public. Unfortunately, most of it is already online, but not all ;-).
