  • Comment: Noting for the record the creation/deletion history (and page protection) at Vinay Ratan Singh, including link to earlier AfD. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:27, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
  • Comment: Two of the sources don't even mention him, one is a passing mention, one is him commenting on things, and one is a primary source. None of these contributes anything towards notability per WP:GNG.
There is too much unreferenced information for a WP:BLP. Please ensure that every material statement, anything potentially contentious, and all private personal and family details are clearly supported by inline citations to reliable published sources, or else removed. Early life and education

[edit]

Vinay Ratan Singh was born on 1 April 1982 in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, to a retired Uttar Pradesh Police officer and a family of farmers.[citation needed] He completed his postgraduate MBA in Marketing.[citation needed]

Career

[edit]

In July 2015, Singh, alongside Chandrashekhar Azad and Satish Kumar, co-founded the Bhim Army (Bhim Army Bharat Ekta Mission), an Ambedkarite organisation dedicated to promoting education and protecting the constitutional rights of Dalit and Muslim communities in western Uttar Pradesh.[3] Under his leadership as National President, the organisation has established more than 350 free schools across Uttar Pradesh.

Singh organised and led nationwide protests on 2 April 2018 against the Supreme Court's amendment of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, which he and others viewed as diluting key safeguards; he was arrested that day and surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Saharanpur on 23 April 2018.[4]

In August 2019, during Bhim Army protests against the demolition of the Shri Guru Ravidas Gurughar temple in Tughlaqabad, Delhi, Singh was among dozens arrested by police when activists attempted to protect the site from DDA action.[5]

Following his activism with the Bhim Army, Singh joined in launching the Azad Samaj Party on 15 March 2020, aiming to contest elections and continue Kanshi Ram's mission of social empowerment.[1]

Personal life

[edit]

Singh is married and has three children—two sons and one daughter.[citation needed]
