My edit[edit]

U recently changed my edit about André Neves. I know the man and asked me to change because his wiki page was false. I have known the man my whole life and I can assure u he was born in Kigali in Rwanda and that he is the brother of Rúben Neves 2A04:CEC0:108E:D4B8:0:43:A83F:6A01 (talk) 16:07, 30 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Not me[edit]

The person you just put is not me. I am cristiano ronaldo and you should get a life instead of harassing people. Coward!!! 2A04:CEC0:108E:D4B8:0:43:A83F:6A01 (talk) 16:12, 30 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

"Disruptive Editing"[edit]

Hi David. My editing is not disruptive. I am removing material in the lead that was a) added recently and by a single editor from what I can tell . b) is not substantiated by one source, and the other source is suffering from link rot, and c) contradicts other Wiki articles and evidence. Please, let me know why you think removing a poorly sourced, recently added section in the lead is disruptive editing? Thank you 174.95.17.153 (talk) 02:05, 2 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

To put it in context, see how the lead read just a year ago here --174.95.17.153 (talk) 02:07, 2 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Additionally, I will present respectable sources all agreeing that Association Football does derive from early medieval and prior ball games, see here for Britannica, here for Bundensliga, here for Oxford reference --174.95.17.153 (talk) 02:14, 2 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
You removed the first sentence. See MOS:LEADSENTENCE. If you object to changes made in November last year, you can discuss them on the talk page of the article, or you can suggest an alternative, but you oughtn't to just delete the start of the lede. - David Biddulph (talk) 02:16, 2 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I thought the lead started well enough without the controversial sentence. I was not vandalizing. 174.95.17.153 (talk) 02:37, 2 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Archiving for "Turmeric"?[edit]

Hi David Biddulph, the reason for restoring archived material on the Talk Page for Turmeric is that the discussion is currently very relevant. And, per Help:Archiving a talk page:

"It is customary to periodically archive old discussions on a talk page when that page becomes too large. Bulky talk pages may be hard to navigate, contain obsolete discussion, or become a burden for users with slow Internet connections or computers."

Since the discussion on the talk page is currently relevant, and this talk page is not "too large" or "a burden for users with slow Internet connections or computers", then it stands to reason that the discussion material should be restored to the talk page. The issues are neither "resolved" nor "stale". Respectfully, Dcattell (talk) 20:48, 16 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Trivia section[edit]

Hi, David. I've just seen your user page, and I see that you're an old Lady Maggie rower. About half a century ago I rowed for King's, but for me it was just a brief incident in my life, whereas it seems that for you it has been a much longer-lasting interest. Just thought you might be interested to know. JBW (talk) 23:56, 17 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oh yes, and Westmorland. My parents and my sister lived there for much of their lives, though I didn't. JBW (talk) 00:00, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The notice on your user talk page gave you a link to advice on citing sources. Try reading WP:REFB. Similar advice has been given to the numerous IP addresses under which you have made similar unsourced edits previously. - David Biddulph (talk) 14:11, 28 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Note also that your changes are not minor edits. And note also that you are not allowed to misuse multiple accounts. - David Biddulph (talk) 14:13, 28 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

January 2023[edit]

Hello, I'm Callanecc. An edit you recently made to Capital city seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 13:24, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Callanecc: Are you sure? I thought that I was reverting the test? - David Biddulph (talk) 13:25, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I think I hit the button slightly after you and ended up reverting you instead. Sorry. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 13:34, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
No problem. Easily done! - David Biddulph (talk) 13:34, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Danners430. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, British Rail Class 84, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Danners430 (talk) 15:10, 25 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

What was the source for the information which I changed and which you reinserted? - David Biddulph (talk) 15:59, 25 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
As you pointed out, the information about Bo'ness was unsourced, so I removed it. I guess you won't regard a tweet from NRM as a WP:RS, but this is the confirmation of 84001's return: https://twitter.com/RailwayMuseum/status/1618583911118041090 David Biddulph (talk) 12:22, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Nope, that’s a perfectly reliable source since it’s from the NRM themselves. I’ve reinstated your edit from yesterday and included the tweet as a reference. Danners430 (talk) 20:27, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I've mentioned you[edit]
