Archiving[edit]

Hey there, I noticed you'd tried to archive your talk page by moving the old versions to another title. We'd really prefer you don't do it this way, as it makes it difficult for people to find things on Wikipedia. If you want to store old revisions of this page somewhere, we have archival instructions at WP:ARCHIVE. I've moved the history back in place for you. Welcome to Wikipedia! Hersfold (t/a/c) 19:31, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am a bit lost in all these rules here on Wikipedia. Sorry. I'll study them more carefully. And thanks for the welcome. — NikFreak (talk) 10:52, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Weight of the World[edit]

I'm not sure what you meant by your latest edit on this article? Per WP:MUSIC, this is a non-notable song, and therefore redirects to the most logical place. You mention "moving" the page - where to? Black Kite 16:03, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I thought that you might think it is inappropriate to use page Weight_of_the_World_(song) since there are more songs titled Weight of the World. If you feel that way, move it to Weight_of_the_World_(Evanescence_song). I don't see a reason to remove it since it is Evanescence's single and all singles have their own pages. — NikFreak (talk) 16:53, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. I just checked and there are not enough sources on this page. I will put a redirect link. Thanks for your time. — NikFreak (talk) 16:59, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
A tag has been placed on Being (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi,[edit]

By some coincidence, it seems we have so many things in common. Have a nice day. --Aeternus (talk) 16:11, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I took your template. I hope you don't mind. As for all the categories, yes, it indeed does seem that we have a lot in common. I apologize if I offended you. If you wish, I will remove the template at once. — NikFreak (leave message) 20:02, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, not at all. Sorry if I appeared rude; I don't feel offended in any way. I was only a little bit surprised when I looked at your profile for the first time. Take care ;) --Aeternus (talk) 20:32, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hello NikFreak, you have received this notice because you have placed your name on the list of members of WikiProject Metal. We are currently looking to make the wikiproject more active, and in doing so, we need to have a list of active members on the wikiproject. If you wish to stay an active part of wikiproject metal, please add your username to Wikipedia:WikiProject Metal/Active Users. Conversely, if you wish to leave the wikiproject, please remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiProject Metal/Members. Thank you.

WikiProject Sociology Newsletter: II (April 2010)[edit]

Sociology ProjectNews • April 2010
Spreading the meme since August 2006

The Sociology WikiProject is conducting a roll call (or min-census, if you prefer). More then five years down the road, we have over 50 members, but we don't know how many of them are still active in the sociology area. If you are or want to become once again an active contributor to the sociology content on Wikipedia, please move your name from the inactive to the active list on our roll call (or add yourself to the list if you haven't joined yet!).

In other news, we have reactivated the newsletter :) At least, for this announcement. We also have a new, automated to do listing, an active tag and assess project (which has identified about 1,800 sociology articles on Wikipedia, and assessed about 1,3000 of them), and three new userboxes for your self-identification pleasure :) On a final note, I highly recommend watchlisting the Wikipedia:WikiProject Sociology page, so you can be aware of the ongoing discussions.

You have received this newsletter because you are listed as a recipient of WikiProject Sociology Newsletter (Opt-out). • signed

Avantgarde-metal.com[edit]

I'm sorry but we don't use webzines as they do not pass WP:RS; their content would need to have published elsewhere by a commercial third-party source, which is clearly not the case here. The other genres for this probably non-notable band were not even sourced at all, so the ridiculous number of genre categories added leads me to believe that this article is likely being used as advertising space. Unless more sources are found, I suggest taking it to AfD. Blackmetalbaz (talk) 10:08, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that I saw a reference on Blabbermouth. It isn't a very famous band, but it's still fairly known among avant-garde metal fans. If you could give me some time, I might find some sources. Regards... — NikFreak (leave message)

WikiProject Sociology membership[edit]

You are listed in the Category:Wikipedians interested in sociology, probably due to the use of "This user is interested in sociology" userbox, but you have not added yourself to our official member list for WikiProject Sociology. This prevents you from, among other things, receiving our sociology newsletter, as that member list acts as our newsletter mailing list (you can find the latest issue of our sociology newsletter here). If you'd like to receive the newsletter and help us figure out how many members we really have, please consider joining our WikiProject and adding yourself to our official member list. Thank you, --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 13:17, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:WikiProject Dream Theater, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Dream Theater and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wikipedia:WikiProject Dream Theater during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Mabeenot (talk) 13:16, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Atoma, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:06, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello NikFreak. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Atoma".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Atoma}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 11:51, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
