National varieties of English[edit]
In a recent edit to the page Scramble for Africa, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to India, use Indian English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Chris Troutman (talk) 20:36, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Iryna Harpy. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Denial of the Holodomor without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.
Thanks! 220 of Borg 05:47, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
Manual of Style[edit]
I recently left you a rather obnoxious warning message for editing against the Manual of Style when I was, in fact, wrong about the guideline and you were right. I have reverted myself but I wanted to apologize anyway, since you may notice the message removal. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 11:04, 27 April 2017 (UTC)

No need to "fix" redirects[edit]
Hi, I noticed you changing links to the Second World War to World War II. There is no need to do this, and in fact the practice is discouraged. See WP:NOTBROKEN for more information. DuncanHill (talk) 11:22, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

Maps[edit]
Hi there. I must ask you to please stop adding low resolution maps to the infoboxes of countries. These maps you are adding are of such a low resolution that the labels and text in them are unreadable. The natural inclination for a user would be to click on them to see more detail, but they can't. As a result these maps are of no use so please stop adding them. POTD selection[edit]
Thanks for helping to schedule some recent POTDs. Regarding next Tuesday's (Äußere Kanalstraße), in particular, however, the article in question is a stub and thus isn't eligible to be featured on the Main Page. Generally, I try to make sure that the article associated with a featured picture is of sufficient quality (free of any maintenance templates like "needs additional citations" and/or have few [citation needed] tags). As such, we can ensure that articles have enough content to form a POTD blurb and also avoid featuring substandard articles. Cheers. — RAVENPVFF · talk · 15:00, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

FPC nomination[edit]
Hi, I think that blatantly canvassing support for FPC nominations as you did here is crossing a line. It's OK to invite other editors to consider nominations (though this should be done sparingly and should generally be reserved for nominations which have attracted little interest or where further opinions are clearly needed), but asking someone to support a nomination after they supported one of your other nominations leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth. The red-bellied piranha (Pygocentrus nattereri), also known as the red piranha, is a species of piranha native to South America, found in the Amazon, Paraguay, Paraná and Essequibo basins, as well as the coastal rivers of northeastern Brazil. They are omnivorous foragers and feed on insects, worms, crustaceans, and fish. Red-bellied piranhas often travel in shoals as a predatory defense but rarely exhibit group hunting behavior. Acoustic communication is common and is sometimes exhibited along with aggressive behaviors. They are also often kept as an aquarium species. This fish was photographed at Karlsruhe Zoo in Germany. The Caves of Hercules is an archaeological cave complex located in Cape Spartel, Morocco. Situated 14 kilometres (9 mi) west of Tangier, the popular tourist attraction is adjacent to the summer palace of the king of Morocco. The cave itself is partly natural and partly man-made. The man-made portion was used by Berbers to cut stone wheels from the walls to make millstones, resulting in the ridges visible on the walls in this photograph of the cave's interior. The Sleeping Gypsy is an 1897 oil-on-canvas by the French Naïve artist Henri Rousseau. It is a fantastical depiction of a lion musing over a sleeping woman on a moonlit night. Rousseau first exhibited the painting at the 13th Salon des Indépendants, and tried unsuccessfully to sell it to the mayor of his hometown, Laval. It instead entered the private collection of a Parisian charcoal merchant, where it remained until 1924, when it was discovered by the art critic Louis Vauxcelles. The Paris-based art dealer Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler purchased the painting in 1924, although a controversy arose over whether the painting was a forgery. It was acquired by art historian Alfred H. Barr Jr. for the Museum of Modern Art in New York, where it remains. Painting credit: Henri Rousseau

SpaceX CRS-8 was a Commercial Resupply Services mission to the International Space Station that launched on April 8, 2016, at 20:43 UTC. It was the twenty-third flight of a Falcon 9 rocket, the tenth flight of a Dragon cargo spacecraft, and the eighth operational mission contracted to SpaceX by NASA under the Commercial Resupply Services program. After boosting the payload on its orbital trajectory, the rocket's first stage re-entered the denser layers of the atmosphere and landed vertically on the ocean landing platform Of Course I Still Love You nine minutes after liftoff (as pictured in this photograph), thus achieving a long-sought-after milestone in the SpaceX reusable launch system development program. Jacek Malczewski (15 July 1854 – 8 October 1929) was a Polish Symbolist painter. One of the most revered painters of Poland, he was associated with the patriotic Young Poland movement following a century of partitions. Malczewski is regarded as the father of Polish symbolism, and his creative output combined the predominant style of his times with historical motifs of Polish martyrdom, the romantic ideals of independence, Christian and Greek mythology, folk tales, as well as his love of the natural world. Many of Malczewski's paintings prominently feature self-portraits in elaborate costume, including this 1914 oil-on-canvas painting, titled Self-Portrait in White Dress, which depicts him wearing a white traditional 19th-century artist's smock-frock, a white neckerchief (a common garment for European men in the 18th and 19th century), and a wide white beret. The portrait is in the collection of the National Museum in Kraków. Painting credit: Jacek Malczewski
