[edit]INVESTIGATION COMPLETE. Contact in progress by User:HAL2008
Discussion
IP has been blocked seven eight times.
This appears to be a static-IP server at a financial services company (Comerica). Some good edits, many vandal edits. Due to the consistency of content of the vandal edits, mixed with good edits, it may be possible that this server is an open proxy being exploited by one vandal unrelated to the organization. -Amatulic 22:42, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- I have opened an investigation, thank you for reporting. --HAL2008 talk 18:37, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- I have located a contact system for the Comerica website, and am filing an abuse report at this time. --HAL2008 talk 18:44, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I was unable to contact the person in charge of networks and such through e-mail, and could only use a "contact us" form. I will attempt to call the company later today, or tomorrow, and attempt to report it there, or get information from there. --HAL2008 talk 19:02, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. Now that the IP has been blocked for 6 months, the urgency has decreased. I am curious if it's an open proxy, though, based on the immaturity of the vandal edits "coming from" this financial institution. -Amatulic 20:40, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not really sure, I didn't really find many other e-mails that looked like the same one, so it could be one computer. I'm curious as to whether it's a kid (10-14 or something) brought to work with their parent. I'm playing e-mail tag with the company's tech department now, so we'll hopefully be able to figure everything out soon. --HAL2008 talk 09:52, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
