My interests include India, Archaeology, History, Science and Politics. Thanks for considering. Hnaluru (talk) 18:19, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

X4n6 ω Awaiting – Many of your edits are reverts or on drama boards. The spot checks I did were curious. Check back in a month or two. Apologies for the delay in researching this. Cheers! {{u|Checkingfax}} {Talk} 23:53, 22 March 2017 (UTC)\[reply]
Checkingfax, excuse me? I've been a member of this project for over a decade, with many more thousands of edits prior as an IP. But this account's history more than meets the "Requirements" stated above. I applied almost two months ago and had to twice ask on your talk page if you were still even the account coordinator. Since the "UPDATE: Turnaround time for ASP accounts is now ≈3 days" is a farce; and even the "current average account distribution cycle" of 27 days is embarrassingly inaccurate. And a "spot check" of my talk page would also have shown that I already belong to several other libraries. So, as long as you're running this one in this haphazard and subjective fashion, I'll manage to continue contributing without it. So I withdrawn my application. I also urge you to withdraw as account coordinator; and let someone run this library who has the time and inclination to do it justice. Cheers! X4n6 (talk) 05:09, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, X4n6. You meet the criteria based on tenure and number of edits, but as coordinators we look at a lot more factors. I tried to make the deferral as gentle as possible. You know what the issues are. Cheers! PS: When posting on my talk page you never made any particular request. LOL {{u|Checkingfax}} {Talk} 22:01, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Checkingfax. No need for self-defense. I have no interest in this devolving into a pissing match. So this will be my final response. You stand by your decision. I stand by my response. But I will say that if you have some additional "hidden criteria" for approving applicants, then you should clearly explain it. It wastes everyone's time to publish one set of criteria, yet evaluate with another. This ain't hard and there's no reason for secrecy. I also don't think any coordinator, in absentia, properly serves this, or any, library on this project. Or the folks who apply. It's not personal: it's just my assessment of your "spot check" approach to coordinating. Also, I never made a "particular request" on your talk page - nor did I claim to. I just asked (twice) if you were still the coordinator of this library - because almost two months had passed since you "checked in" to perform the routine coordinator action of timely responding to requests. Again, I just believe this library - and this project - deserve better. X4n6 (talk) 05:16, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi X4n6 and Checkingfax. I want to apologize for the confusion or disappointment here. My read is that Checkingfax was doing a well-intentioned job in determining likelihood for using the resource; however, at my glance I think the review went beyond the criteria and missed meaningful signals. In most cases with an editor who has 500 edits and 6 months, we want to approve, and moreso in cases where non article space contributions are offset by a much larger edit count and account age. With X4n6, there is a 70% main space contribution ratio, 170 edits in the last month, over 2000 in the last year, and 11 articles created since account creation in 2006. Unless there is some glaring reason to suspect misuse that I'm unaware of, this should be an easy approve. As for the turnaround time with approvals, I take responsibility for that. Our new Library Card Platform should speed this up significantly. We do rely on and appreciate our volunteer coordinators' hard work very much. Please continue on with your great contributions! 13. SusunW (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I am specifically interested in access to the "Women and Social Movements International" collection of the Alexander Street Press and have little or no use for the Academic Video Online service you linked above. I typically focus on women, minorities and indigenous persons, all of which are under-represented on WP and are impacted by poor source availability. Any sources which help improve these articles are greatly needed. In the last 2 months, I have frequently discovered the ASP has articles on the topics I am working on, but I have no access to same. I have written over 800 articles, the majority of which are class C or higher, and have worked on 14 GAs. SusunW (talk) 16:51, 14 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Checkingfax I just popped by to check on this. My internet service has been horrible since May 5th, so I wasn't sure if you had sent something I just didn't get. I am also not sure why it numbered me 1 as opposed to #13, so not sure if it didn't generate a request properly. Any news? Thanks for your help. SusunW (talk) 17:25, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Checkingfax I really do try to produce quality articles. Sent the Google form back. SusunW (talk) 07:17, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Checkingfax and Ocaasi (WMF): It has been almost a month since I applied for access and over two weeks since I sent the Google form back. Clearly much longer than the three days indicated as processing time above. I really need access to this valuable source on women's history. Is there a problem with approvals being processed, as I see that no one has responded to Rosiestep or Megalibrarygirl's applications either? SusunW (talk) 13:00, 11 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  14. Rosiestep (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) - I am specifically interested in access to the "Women and Social Movements International" collection of the Alexander Street Press for the 19th and early 20th century. I have written extensively on Enwp about this period and genre (social reform, social activism), e.g. women's biographies and their works, including the conferences they convened, the newspapers they founded/edited, and so forth. Thank you. --Rosiestep (talk) 15:33, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
