A space to draft and plan a new set of video guidelines for English Wikipedia, and perhaps other language editions.
Current situation
[edit]- Two different locations for video guidance in the MOS:
- Wikipedia:Videos, which could be expanded and be more instructive:
- The rationale of using videos (and what kind of videos)
- Tools to create and upload videos.
- How to insert videos in articles.
Problems
[edit]- Some of the better Video software (Adobe Premiere, for instance) is proprietary and expensive, and don't export intuitively into free formats (.ogg, .webm).
