From Dank[edit]

  • Hill 303 massacre probably isn't a rerun; I checked the article talk page, and the August 2010 TFAs, and the August 2017 TFAs. - Dank (push to talk) 02:26, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Have just spotted and corrected that myself. Thanks. Gog the Mild (talk) 18:04, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Speed of light[edit]

Does Speed of light need to be checked?--Wehwalt (talk) 14:46, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm fairly certain it should be OK, because XOR'easter worked on it at FAR; outside of my realm, though. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:46, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
We could also ask Femkemilene to give it a once over ... it's unclear whether all of my final quibbles on the FAR were cleared up. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:48, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm having a long covid setback after reinfection, so won't be able to do intelligent stuff for the next weeks/months. Femke (talk) 18:10, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So sorry to hear that, Femke, and hope you are well soon. I'm having my own family health issues, and am not able to do as much as I'd like in here ... SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:15, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
ComplexRational the speed of light FA recently passed FAR, but Wehwalt inquires above whether it needs to be checked. Might you be able to at least glance at the lead? I'm not sure where the proposed TFA blurb is parked, but perhaps if Wehwalt points us at it, you might give it a glance, too ? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:44, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I believe the blurb lives here. XOR'easter (talk) 16:49, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, XOR ... I was concerned that we hadn't heard from you, and I couldn't locate the blurb (d'oh, I didn't look in one of the most logical places) ... now that I've seen it, and that you reviewed it, my apologies for the extraneous ping to ComplexRational. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:02, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Does the blurb still need another set of eyes? ComplexRational (talk) 17:32, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well, as long as you're here, and if you don't mind ... per Wehwalt's inquiry ... SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:38, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I tweaked a few things in the blurb for slightly better flow and to reference several related concepts. The blurb is relatively short but nonetheless within parameters, and should there be no outstanding issues I'll happily support. Does the article lead itself need looking over as well? ComplexRational (talk) 18:23, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
ComplexRational If you don't mind, while you're here, the more the merrier. The concern is about a history of excessive criticism at WP:ERRORS. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:46, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Geology Hall, New Brunswick, New Jersey[edit]

If the Coords are looking for a replacement, I suspect that Palladian architecture will clear FAR in time, and it's at least building-related. It last ran in 2004, and KJP1 is restoring it to status. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:06, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Geology Hall is now at FAR, issues confirmed to be extensive, has attracted multiple delist comments. Hog Farm Talk 20:10, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Political history of medieval Karnataka[edit]

Confirmation bias[edit]

  • Confirmation bias has uncited text and mixed citation styles, and has been recently subjected to student editing. MartinPoulter might want to look it over as to whether any cleanup is needed, and perhaps after that, we should ping in WT:MED for a closer look. On a very quick glance I don't see anything that I wouldn't routinely expect to be fixed up during its TFA, but an indepth look should be done on an FA this old, especially with students in there, and it's unclear what is going on with the uncited text and mixed styles. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:57, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of the Tenaru[edit]

Scheduler comment[edit]

Many thanks for all of the input above. I have swapped out Geology Hall, New Brunswick, New Jersey for Palladian architecture - thanks Sandy. Gog the Mild (talk) 20:27, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

KJP1, Palladian is planned for August ... SandyGeorgia (Talk) 20:34, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Gog the Mild, Giano actually wrote Palladian (under four different accounts), but if it makes it through FAR, KJP1 becomes its new "nominator", as it is considerably rewritten. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 20:35, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ta. Gog the Mild (talk) 20:47, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Then I shall have to crack on with the necessary amendments. KJP1 (talk) 21:10, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@KJP1 and Gog the Mild: I still believe this one will clear FAR in time, as it looks to be on track, but having a backup plan for this date might be prudent. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:04, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

15 August[edit]

With three nominations for the same date this is a difficult one, but I have decided to go for Political history of medieval Karnataka to commemorate Indian Independence Day. Gog the Mild (talk) 13:00, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Note that I have shuffled a little to make space for Ontario Highway 403 on 14 August. Gog the Mild (talk) 13:23, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Very tough choice, when someone has been "waiting seven years" for the slot; I support this reasonable compromise (getting the road up the day before, while acknowledging an important Indian date). SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:50, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, [1]. Haven't checked in there lately; I'll look at Darjeeling once I get through Palladian architecture. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:11, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'll have Darjeeling finished Monday the 25th for Hog Farm's review. Most of its sections are done. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 23:05, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Darjeeling is now scheduled for 15 August in place of Political history of medieval Karnataka. Gog the Mild (talk) 18:52, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

August 7[edit]

Note that Mandrill has been swapped out in favour of springbok. Gog the Mild (talk) 16:46, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a chance we can switch El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie from August 16th to August 2nd?[edit]

There has been news recently that the next episode of Better Call Saul, airing August 1st, will be titled "Breaking Bad". This episode is widely speculated to feature the return of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, the latter of whom had the feature film El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, which is scheduled to be the TFA for August 16th.

I originally scheduled it for this day because that is the day after Better Call Saul is set to end. However, with these new circumstances, I thought it would be more appropriate to move it to August 2nd, the day after his new episode airs, as most fans will likely have Jesse Pinkman on the forefront on their minds. Would it be possible to trade dates with Speed of light? It does not seem like that subject is tied to August 2nd in particular.

If not I'm fine keeping it on its original date. Flowerkiller1692 (talk) 07:17, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bleh! It's a fair bit of work, and it puts El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie next to Shannen Says; but I can see why you're asking, so done. Gog the Mild (talk) 12:05, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm trying to figure out if FACBot picks up changes like this after the fact ; Hawkeye7 will FACBot update WP:URFA/2020B in a case like this, to change the TFA date, or do I have to continue to keep an eye on things like this, and change manually? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:29, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That is ... Speed of light from august 2 to august 16 ... Gog the Mild am I misunderstanding the change (the article talk page hasn't been updated)? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:35, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You understand correctly Sandy, I am just running behind in getting the paperwork done. Gog the Mild (talk) 17:10, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks; I'm unsure which/what kind of edit triggers FACbot ... SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:16, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well, rule of thumb: if anything I do to do with TFA triggers a bot, it means I've screwed up. Gog the Mild (talk) 17:21, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nope :) Every time you promote or archive an article, the move to archive triggers a bot :) I don't know which TFA edit triggers the bot to update the TFA dates ... :) SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:41, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It is called "Gog the Mild". I do them by hand. Eg [2] and [3]. Gog the Mild (talk) 17:46, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I doubt that the article talk edit is what triggers FACbot. Will this swap trigger the bot, or is it only triggered by the initial TFA creation? Hawkeye7? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:58, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
FACbot caught it! [4] SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:47, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't realize it would take a lot of work, so my sincerest thank you for being accommodating. Flowerkiller1692 (talk) 22:31, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Will the calendar above also be switched? I can do it myself need be, doesn't seem too difficult. Flowerkiller1692 (talk) 22:37, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
While, this being Wikipedia, there is no actual rule, non-schedulers are discouraged from editing the table. As August starts in 24 hours the table has lost its function and I didn't see any point in updating it - it is only a working document. If its current state offends anyone's sensitivities I could do the business. Gog the Mild (talk) 22:47, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I'll just leave it be. Thank you again! Flowerkiller1692 (talk) 22:55, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
