The United States launched airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, overnight between June 21 and 22, aimed at disabling Iran's nuclear capabilities. The strike, designated Operation Midnight Hammer by the U.S. military, was ordered by President Donald Trump and announced late Saturday night from Washington.
Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, returned home on Saturday, June 14, after a four-day visit to London between June 10 to 13. Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam had told reporters on Thursday that the main subject of the visit was the recovery of about £174bn (US$234 billion) in national assets, which Bangladesh authorities claim were "siphoned off" to other countries during Sheikh Hasina's former premiership.
On June 16, an international campaign to enhance traffic control started in 34 European countries that are members of the European Road Police Network (ROADPOL). The campaign, scheduled to run through June 22, aimed to enforce laws against driving under the influence of alcohol or psychoactive substances.
