A WikiProject is a collection of pages devoted to the management of a specific family of information within Wikipedia. It is not a place to write encyclopedia articles, but rather a resource used to help organize relevant information. The attached talk pages also provide a convenient discussion forum for those interested in a particular project.

This page includes a list of WikiProjects. If you start a new project, please add it to the appropriate category.

Suggestions for new projects

  • please check the Best practices for leading a WikiProject
  • Start the main project page at Wikipedia:WikiProject project name.
  • Use {{subst:WikiProject}} to create a skeleton project page.
  • Add {{to do}} to the talk page for the main project page.
  • Link to a sample article to give other Wikipedians a feel for the project's goals.
  • On a subpage of your project, copy a listing of Special:Whatlinkshere for the most important article or articles related to your project. This is an easy way to identify all pages within the scope of your project.
