- A yellow > means that team chose to use the Yield; < indicates the team who received it.
Trivia
- This edition features the first mother/son team.
- Season 7 features three reality show alumni. Engaged couple Amber Brkich and Rob Mariano both appeared on Survivor. Brian appeared on a Christmas episode of Fear Factor.
- The quick 3 week turnaround time between Season 6 and 7 is due to two main reasons. First, the finale date co-incides with the May sweeps. Second, the early release was intended to ride the recent popularity of the show, despite the unpopular winners of Season 6.
- Brian appeared in a Heineken commercial with Jennifer Aniston.[1]
- For the first time, a cash prize was given to the winners of a leg of the race; on the first leg, $10,000 went to each teammate (for a total of $20,000) for the winning team.
- In an interview with TVGuide.com, host Phil Keoghan mentioned that this season will feature "a couple of new twists and turns that will really engage people. For example, teams that come in last place will face new consequences that we haven't seen before," refering to those teams who finish last on non-elimination legs. [2] [3]
- Travelocity replaced previous show regular sponsors American Airlines Vacations and Royal Caribbean Cruises.
