The Storm?

Elliott Yamin sang "The Storm" with Big Planz on the album "The Storm" which was released on Itunes on January 27, 2007. Out of the 6 tracks on the album 4 of them are different mixes of "The Storm". Profits go to the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund and I think a juvinille diabitees research fund as well. I think this should be added if anyone can get the download popularity and charity details. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mywebsite1234000 (talkcontribs) 23:19, 10 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Idol or Elliot?

I'm a bit confused as to whether or not the "Discography" should include any American Idol albums. He hasn't released an album, yet, except for his single. He's a singer, not an idol contestant anymore. Unforgotten 05:04, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blue eyed soul?

Elliott considers himself a soul/R&B singer, so should he be considered "blue eyed soul"? 216.79.251.145 02:48, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Even Rod Stewart said that Elliott was a "blue eyed soul". Va girl2468 02:14, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, let's see if I can settle all these questions for you. According to an article posted here[1], he is indeed Jewish, not Muslim. According to Ancestry.com records, his full name is "Efraym Elliott Yamin" - his mother's maiden name is "Goldberg". I'll update the article... Mad Jack O'Lantern 05:07, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well done Mad Jack O'Lantern for finally putting to rest the nonsense about his religion. I found it hilarious that people were saying he was jewish while others were saying he was muslim. Talk about your personal struggles, he'd be trying to kill himself all the time. Batman2005 16:50, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, well I suppose so... :) Mad Jack O'Lantern 18:38, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Elliott's name keeps getting taken off of the "Blue eyed soul" singers list. Why?!?!?! TamYum 03:49, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was being done by one IP user I warned after he/she kept reverting my edits, eventually leaving a nasty note on my talk page on how I could not tell him/her what to do. I refuted these claims with policy and never heard from this user again... Michael 07:57, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Media bias

These two sites say that the show/media is biased against ELliott (not in TV guide idol showcase, judges leave his name out on talk shows, etc.), guess it deserves a section

Arab Americans

Iraqi Jews are not really considered "Arab" - see the article Iraqi Jews, which has sentences like "The Jews may have favored the advance of the Arabs" - clearly two distinct groups. Mad Jack O'Lantern 22:37, 9 May 2006 (UTC) I LOVE ELLIOT![reply]

Elliott Yamin Impersonator

If User:Elliottyamin is not Mr. Yamin, could someone please stop him or her from impersonating a real person? Dubious, because this user only adds or removes external links to the page.

User:Bucky Covington has been blocked indefinitely, although he never updated a page relating to American Idol, and was blocked because of the username similarity. —Chantessy 21:31, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this up for deletion?

Elliott finished in third place on American Idol, and his music career is just starting. I would think narrowly losing on the highest rated TV show in America would be worth an entry at Wikipedia, and I noticed that the previous American Idol 3rd place finishers have not been put up for deletion. --JamesB3 07:58, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently some AOL user was playing around. Grrr. ArglebargleIV 12:51, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Wikipedian

Since there's no proof that User:elliottyamin is actually our E-Dub, I've commented out the template. We don't want to get people excited. ... discospinster talk 18:43, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed... Michael 07:57, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have begun what will likely turn into an edit war with die hard yamin fans who want their favorite fan site listed. But, I choose to conform to WP:EL which clearly states that one fansite is appropriate per article, so I've removed all but the first one. Which is in no way my endorsment of that particular site, just that it required less effort to leave that one as opposed to another one. Batman2005 03:03, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is a valuable link: Elliot Yamin Fans Online: http://www.elliot.bloomfans.us Thanks. ~Luthien Robbins~

Chart positions

"Moody's Mood for Love" never made the Hot 100. As there is now a column for his Bubbling Under position, there is no need for any number to be in that column. For some reason, I have several times had to correct an erroneous chart position of #100. GassyGuy 00:41, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Was it vandalism? Michael 04:35, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mention of Porsche

Shouldn't there be some mention of Elliott's mention of "Porsche" on American Idol, and Ryan saying it's a big nono? Where's the controversy on that?
