The Last Command is a 1928 film. It was written by John F. Goodrich and Herman J. Mankiewicz, from a story by Lajos Biró. It was directed by Josef von Sternberg.

The plot concerns a down-on-his-luck former Tsarist Russian soldier (Emil Jannings) whose life is saved when an old friend, now a movie director (William Powell), hires him to re-create the Russian Revolution that destroyed his career.

Jannings won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance.
