Included in the school's tuition fee is a subscription in various academic magazines known as Scholastic Enhancement Material(SEM) published mostly by Diwa Publishing House. Each subject has its complement magazine. These magazines are sometimes used as seatworks when the teacher is not around.
As mentioned earlier, the UST High School is still preparing for its accredition by PAASCU on Novermber 2008. All activities and programs, may it be curricular or co-curricular, are geared towards this very historic step for the High School. Drastic changes have already been happening inside the High School since Academic Year 2006-2007. There have been big changes to its systems in various aspects and fields. The term "accreditation" has been intentionally used repeatedly by most concerned teachers so that students would be reminded of the said event for whatever reasons or motives they may have. Funds are also being used to enhance the facilities of the building. Some students have already complained of so much extra effort and adjustment that they should exert to achieve the aim of the administration. According to some, they are so fed up up of the ambitious and high demands of the administration.
If the High School gets to be accredited, it would be on level 2 which would be a great milestone for the said institution.
Although the school having a great curriculum program, most of the UST High School students fail in the USTET (Entrance Test) in their chosen college or faculty and even in other schools. This news has been very shameful for the UST High School. Apart from the students, incompetent teachers have been blameable for this. The High School had experienced a wave of fleeing teachers during the past years making todays roster of its faculty young. Only the old and powerful stay in the faculty.
Co-curricular Program
A newly commissioned council to hold the co-curricular program of the UST High School has been formed by the principal, again, in line with the accreditation of the school. It is headed by Maria Teresa C. Ramos, MA who has been very much interested in the co-curricular program for the High School will be her experiment in her research work in her graduate studies.

UST High School & Ateneo High School Rivalries
The rivalry is usually seen in the juniors' division where in almost all sports, Ateneo de Manila High School and UST High School would always meet in the Finals. In Junior's Basketball and Junior's Volleyball, there was a point that the Blue Eaglets and Tiger Cubs met for ten consecutive times. To sum it all up, the Blue Eaglets and the Tiger Cubs met in the Finals for 17 times in Junior's Basketball while 16 times in Junior's Volleyball. Likewise, in Junior's Taekwondo, Ateneo de Manila and UST have won 6 titles apiece. There also other sports that both these two teams dominate so the rivalry is really present in the juniors division.
