List of Virtual Console games (Europe)
Available titles
The following is the complete list of the Virtual Console titles available for the Wii in Europe as shown within the Virtual Console section of the Wii Shop Channel. There are currently 227 games available to purchase and 1 retired game (no longer available to purchase).
The "PAL Conversion Issues" column indicates whether the title is known to suffer from currently unaddressed NTSC to PAL conversion problems (see issues regarding PAL Wii systems). Games with "Some" have had the borders reduced, and while the gameplay runs at a slower speed than their NTSC version, the music has been sped up to play correctly. All SNES and all 1st party NES games fit in this category.
Notes: The PEGI (Pan European Game Information) ratings displayed here are based on the rating information on the PEGI website. Most European countries use this rating, however, Portugal has minor deviations in the age ratings. In the Developer column, the company who originally developed the game is listed, not the company who put the game on Virtual Console.

Future releases
New games are released on Fridays at 12:00 AM CET. During daylight saving time, they are released one hour later, at 1:00 AM CET. The following is a list of titles announced to be released on the European Virtual Console. The primary source is the Australian OFLC [1] (it should be known that games found for Australia are all also released for Europe, as the two regions share the same releases). Also listed are titles that have received a rating by the pan-European PEGI [2] or have appeared on the German USK [3]. Nintendo of Europe sometimes puts the games to be added during the next update on their Wii site [4] a day before the update, but these occasions are very rare. Master System and Mega Drive games can be found on Sega's Virtual Console site [5]. Turbografx games can also be found on Hudson's Virtual Console site [6].

Update notes
2007
- The April 6 update was on April 5 because of Good Friday.
- The May 18 update was on May 16 (presumably because of Ascension Day), although the games were removed around 1 AM (CET) the next day. They were then readded at the normal update time on May 18.
- During the month of September, a total of six earlier Japan- or Japan/US-only games were released on the European Virtual Console to celebrate the Japanese Hanabi Festival in three updates with weekly series-based themes: Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Mario's Super Picross, Ninja Gaiden, Ninja JaJaMaru-kun, Gradius III and Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Earth. The imported games cost an additional 100 points (200 points for Nintendo 64 games) and of these, only Sin and Punishment has received a new English translation and localization for its Virtual Console release. It is worthy of note that Ninja Gaiden was released as 'Shadow Warriors' in Europe before, but now retains its American name (and 60Hz only refresh rate) and thereby should be considered as an import title instead.
- Pokémon Snap was added alongside the VC gift giving feature on December 11 instead of the normal update on December 14.
- Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! was added on December 25 as a special Christmas present from Nintendo of Europe but there was however no update at all on December 28 instead.
2008
- The second Hanabi Festival started in early May. The festival saw the release of nine import titles: Break In, Cho Aniki, Columns III: Revenge of Columns, Digital Champ Battle Boxing, Final Soldier, Gley Lancer, Gradius II: Gofer no Yabou, Puyo Puyo 2 and Star Parodier.
- There was no Virtual Console update on June 6.
