The following is a list of accidents and incidents on commercial airlines grouped by airline. It is also available grouped by location, by year and alphabetically.

This list is dynamic and by no means complete! For alternative, more exhaustive lists, see the websites of the Aircraft Crash Record Office or Air Safety Network. However, airlines often seem to be remembered by their worst accidents, and in that sense this list presents a good overview.

A wrongful death law suit relating to this flight was processed in Miami. A large sum of money was awarded to the plaintiffs. The primary cause of the accident was determined to be the loss of power from the number 4 engine. Contributing factors were over loading and failure to retract landing gear.
