Red-Linked FA
Either I'm doing something really wrong or there is a problem with the featured article link. solar eclipse shows red on my screen and clicking on it throws me straight into editing the article. The same happens with continue at the bottom. Sophia Gilraen of Dorthonion 17:16, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
- This type of thing happened to me yesterday with a link to Freedom Tower. For some reason, I think what finally fixed it for me was clicking the link, going to the "edit article" page, and canceling the edit. This is just a guess (and I don't really know anything about how the editing program works, so I could be way off), but I think if you've opened the page for editing before and never saved or canceled the edit, it just stays on the edit section. So, I dunno, try canceling the edit...it may work, it may not. Imaginaryoctopus(talk) 18:45, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
- The article Solar eclipse was briefly deleted several times yesterday to delete revisions of the articles that had either been vandalized or contained personal information of a Wikipedia editor. Generally, if you find that such a thing happens to a high profile page, check back within a minute or two and it should be back. Let me take a ook at Freedom Tower now. Thanks! - Same story for the article Freedom Tower; it was briefly and temporarily deleted as well to remove a version of the page with personal information. It was unavailable for less than three minutes. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 18:48, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for explaining that! Imaginaryoctopus(talk) 18:55, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks - it did sort itself but I was wondering why it happened. Sophia Gilraen of Dorthonion 21:24, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

In Coney Island, an 80-meter steel tower
Right now, one of the items says...
- ...that the Parachute Jump in Coney Island, an 80-meter steel tower, was relocated there from the 1939 New York World's Fair?
I presume (and know) that Coney Island is not an 80-meter steel tower. Also, since the tower isn't in the neighborhood of Coney Island, but just on Coney Island, the sentence should read something like...
- ...that the Parachute Jump, an eighty-meter steel tower on Coney Island, was relocated there from the 1939 New York World's Fair?
Thanks in advance. joturner 20:49, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'm going to have to change my reccomendation as my suggested change still leaves an awkward part of the sentence. Perhaps...
- ...that the Parachute Jump, an eighty-meter steel tower, was relocated to Coney Island after the 1939 New York World's Fair?
- That removes all awkwardness (including that which made the 1939 New York World's Fair sound like a location). joturner 20:59, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
- Done, thanks. --Sam Blanning(talk) 21:20, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Sara Christian
It seems like something is wrong with this sentence...
- that Sara Christian was the first woman to compete in a NASCAR race, the only woman to have a Top 5 finish, and was awarded the 1949 woman driver of the year?
There's an issue with parallel structure. The sentence should probably read...
- that Sara Christian was the first woman to compete in a NASCAR race, the only woman to have a Top Five finish, and the recipient of the 1949 United States Drivers's Association Woman Driver of the Year award?
Thanks in advance. joturner 20:56, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
- Done, thanks. --Sam Blanning(talk) 21:20, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Unnecessary Comma
From one of the items on DYK...
- that forensic electrical engineering is a branch of forensic engineering, whose primary role is to investigate whether a fire was caused by the failure of an electrical appliance?
...does not need a comma after the second engineering. joturner 23:48, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
- Done. Flcelloguy (A note?) 23:51, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Hindenburg disaster
According to Lakehurst, New Jersey, the actual explosion and destruction of the Hindenburg took place over Manchester Township, New Jersey. Apparently, Lakehurst Naval Air Station is entirely located outside of Lakehurst. —Cuiviénen (talk•contribs), Saturday, 6 May 2006 @ 02:44 UTC
- Fixed. Thanks for pointing this out. I didn't know that we have a wikipage for the Lakehurst station till now. -- PFHLai 03:12, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Cattle should be in bold, rather than Hereford, as that's where the image is used. Stevage 11:31, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
