checking the code, this is a fork of {{infobox stadium}}, so could be merged with that template. however, given the number of parameters that overlap the building template, I would say it would be better to just merge/replace it with {{infobox building}}. Delete - {{Infobox theatre}} can serve its purpose for articles on performance venues, and {{Infobox stadium}} can serve its purpose for articles on sporting venues. There is no need for Infobox theater and stadium to be merged like this, simply because there is a large difference between sporting and performance venues. If anything, wouldn't it be better to merge IB theatre and IB stadium into Infobox venue? I'm sceptical about the potential for a merger with {{Infobox building}}, infobox stadium seems to be more similar to this template.--eh bien mon prince (talk) 21:31, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with {{Infobox theatre}} and/or {{Infobox stadium}}. Like eh bien mon prince, I'm not convinced about merging those with {{Infobox building}}, and instead prefer to keep that separate. There are a few incompatibilities there, like the "tenants" parameter on {{infobox stadium}}. A "tenant" of a stadium is not the same as a "tenant" in a hotel, apartment, or other type of building -- and thus prone to misuse if merged. And there was no consensus at Template talk:Infobox stadium#Tenants to use anything differently. Zzyzx11 (talk) 03:26, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- We needn't be bound by a low-traffic, four-year-old discussion. The matter can be re-opened, we could, for example, use the term "Sports teams" for those whose home venue is the stadium in question.
