The Southern Football League is an Australian rules football Amateur League, based in the south, south eastern and eastern suburbs of Melbourne, for both seniors and juniors.

The league is the result of a merger between the Southern Football League (previously South East Suburban League) and the East Suburban Churches Football Association in 1993.

The South East Suburban League was formed in 1963 as a merger of the East Suburban FL and the Caulfield Oakleigh District FL after a number of clubs moved to the Croydon Ferntree Gully FL (now Eastern Football League).

It currently has three divisions.
