Hey, I'm an outside observer on this and not involved in this current revert war going on at Snakes on a Plane, but I really woudl appreciate it if you reconsidered your decision not to fully-protect it. Take a look at the history [1]. 3RR has been completely demolished by pretty much everyone on there and civility has gone to the crapper. There's at least 75 edits involved in this war and that's since 8 hours ago. I really think it should be reconsidered. Thanks, Metros232 20:42, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

how?

First, try to understand that i put that picture there so than i can resolve a edit war that's been going on for hours. Second, how does a screenshot of a website and of my browser violate fairuse? dposse 21:04, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Damnit, then it's goin to be impossible to resolve this stupid edit war. I don't understand how a screenshot of a video game is ok, but a browser is not. dposse 21:08, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Heh, alright. Look, i'm doing my best here to resolve this edit war peacefully, but it looks like as long as Guerillafilm keeps up this rant, you might as well protect it. That picture would have helped... dposse 21:13, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
unfortunatly, it looks like he doesn't ever look at his talk page. If he did, this edit war never would have happened. If you look at his page, i did my best to try to talk to him privately to back down from reverting. It didn't work. I'll add the picture to his userpage and the SoaP talkpage. dposse 21:17, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
thanks. dposse 21:20, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't suppose you have had a chance to review this request for un-protection. We have lot's o' people monitoring article for vandals at this point. BTW thanks for your vote of confidence in speedy keep. Hackajar 21:53, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Roasting Users

Are you the second person to create fake pages in user space for a users RfA? Cause I did it to show if CrazyComputer is good with AfDs. I think it's the best way to show if a user knows their stuff or not, wouldn't you agree? :) --Andeh 18:32, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you!

Thank you for responding to Raccoon Fox on my talk page - we edit conflicted, actually. It's very touching to see that even on Wikipedia you keep an eye on me. :) Srose (talk) 21:42, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've blocked an IP, which could be your bot logged out[3]. If this is your bot, please remedy the situation. Thanks, Yanksox 23:34, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
No, it is not my bot.
But is seems to have the same bug I had removing mk: links.

Check your email; I posted here first because I wanted to give you a nice, soothing picture, too. :) I thought it'd remind you of Midsummer Night's Dream and Quincy Market. Srose (talk) 16:01, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Listen to the message on your home phone. I have a question, too... How do I create another archive for Werdnabot to put things into? Is it as simple as creating /archive2, and the bot will figure it out? Srose (talk) 22:33, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GuerrillaFilm block

Yanksox, I posted my idea for a civil discussion on Talk:Snakes on a Plane yesterday, and you're the only one who responded, so I think we should take charge and separate these people until they can calm down. I think that Guerrillafilm in particular needs to be blocked, if you look at his contributions in the last day, you can see that he is dominating the discussion so much that no one can get anything done. There may be some other users who need a time-out as well, but let's see what things are like without Guerrillafilm first. I have never asked an admin to block another user before. Usually, I stay out of drama like this, but the fact that the page isn't anywhere close to being unblocked is starting to bug me. Let me know what you think on my talk page. Thanks. Lovelac7 23:40, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you're willing to give these editors a second chance, so am I. I humbly withdraw my request. Lovelac7 03:19, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Huh?

Diff? - CrazyRussian talk/email 04:05, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

LOL. I had the French account since 2005. I just never bothered to link it. I figured YurikBot will hook me up - but he didn't. OT, now that Yurik is standing for a ru:RfA, he will w00tulate all the protected interwikis and be master of all with his 1,000,000 edits. - CrazyRussian talk/email 04:10, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So I wrote a stub two days ago, right, and look what happens: [5]. An IP comes along and writes a whole praiseful thing. So I check out who it is [6] - guess what, it's the state of Nebraska... These people just - don't - learn!! - CrazyRussian talk/email 19:41, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ahem

So, when you gonna join my WikiProject? :) --Aguerriero (talk) 19:48, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So what was the reason for deleting Pierre Fitch? "CSD A7" means nothing to me. Augurr 20:50, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It could be Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion, General, Paragraph 7: "Author requests deletion" (where a slip of the finger on the keyboard is misconstrued as making this request) or Articles, Paragraph 7: "Unremarkable people or groups/vanity pages." Either way this has a bad stink to it. Like the article you started on Pierre Fitch, no one has made any edits to my article on Lynne Stopkewich, but no one has tried to speedy delete it either. Cromulent Kwyjibo 22:30, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's A7, no assertion of notability. Being a porn star doesn't merit an article, unless they are a particularly significant porn star, and the writing indicates this is a fairly low key porn star, hence not notable. The Lynne Stopkewich article has a small indication of notability that she is particularly known for something, though this may not be enough in itself to keep the article. Pierre Fitch on deletion review

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Pierre Fitch. Since you closed the deletion discussion for (or speedy-deleted) this article, your reasons on how or why you did so will be greatly appreciated in the above review.

Be good, buddy

Can you help me? Need advocacy against troublesome user.

Name's Jes,Jessicarowls. Nice to meet you.

Cutting to the chase, I found this on my usertalk page.[7]

The history of my userpage indicates editor w/handle chocolateboy is author of nasty gram.

Looking 4 advocacy from administrator. Saw you were admin involved in most recent dispute on SoaP article.

Please, would you delete the warning from my page since it is untrue/frivilous. Why was it placed on there? Banner came out of nowhere.

My field of studies is w/snakes and anthropology of snakes. Been trying to meaningfully edit the SoaP article and other snake related Wikipedia pages. My guess, after consulting SoaP history, is that chocolateboy trying to drag me into feud he's having w/ other editors.

Also: alternative explanation#1>> chocolateboy mistakingly believes I'm sockpuppeting/meatpuppeting other users because my edit history clashes w/his edit history.

Alternative explanation#2>> User with handle Guerillafilm is accusing me of impersonating him/plagarizing his contribs.

Alternative explanation#3>> chocolateboy is engaging in page ownership behavior. Our contributions have clashed few times this week. I've been using discussion page to resolve disputes w/others. I have been getting along with other editors. Although, despite good faith efforts to work with other editors, chocolateboy is only user reverting my changes w/o explanation, then places banner/nasty gram on my usertalk.

Source of irritation>> Utilization of the words "meatpuppet" or "sockpuppet often carry a negative meaning; those utilizing the term should take care that it can be backed up and isn't frivolous.

Well aware of an edit war between editors on Soap article. Just b/c I agree w/ contribs 'of some' and not contribs 'of others' does not mean I am sockpuppet/impersonator/meatpuppet of 'the some' against 'the others.'

Two desired outcomes>> #1 Removal of the frivolous warning from my usertalk page. #2 Warning against chocolateboy for frivolous behavior.

Thanks for your time sweetie. Jessicarowls 22:20, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
