Aamir Abbasi is a retired senior officer of the Pakistan Army. Commissioned into the Frontier Force Regiment, he served as Commander of XXX Corps Gujranwala, also served as the Quartermaster General at the General Headquarters (GHQ).[1]
Military career
[edit]Abbasi was commissioned into the Frontier Force Regiment and rose through the ranks, holding various command and staff appointments. In October 2017, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General while serving as the Commandant of the Command and Staff College, Quetta.[2]
Subsequently, he was appointed as the Quartermaster General at GHQ, overseeing logistics and supply chains for the army.
In April 2019, he was as the Colonel Commandant of the Frontier Force Regiment during a ceremony at the Frontier Force Regimental Centre in Abbottabad.[3]
Abbasi retired from active service in 2021, concluding a distinguished military career spanning nearly four decades.[4]
Post-retirement activities
[edit]In March 2023, Abbasi delivered a lecture on motivation and leadership at the Command and Staff College in Quetta, sharing insights from his extensive military experience.[5]
