The Acura CSX is a Subcompact luxury car made by Acura, a brand of Honda, from 2005 to 2011. It replaced the Acura EL.

History and Features

[change | change source]

The Acura CSX was launched in 2005 as a 2006 model. It is based on the eight-gen Honda Civic having the same chassis.[2] The car has a different styling from the Honda counterpart and shares the same engine which is a 2.0 liter gasoline engine with a 5-speed manual and automatic transmissions.

A sportier version called the CSX Type-S was debuted in 2007. The CSX Type-S has the same powertrain of the Honda Civic Si sold in The United States and Canada which is also a 2.0 liter petrol engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. The version alongside the standard CSX were both facelifted in 2009.[3]

The Acura CSX was sold only in Canada during its production-run.

Discontinuation

[change | change source]

The Acura CSX was discontinued in 2011 but it was the best-selling car in the Canadian lineup of Acura.[4] The car was later replaced by the Acura ILX.[5]
