Ko te "ane" he ingoa mōhiohia waenga i ngā motu Ao-o-Kiwa pērā i te Hāmoa, me te Kuki Airani[1] mō ki ētahi momo mū iti; ka huia ērā mū ki te pūtoi Isoptera.[2] He ngā rākau te kai ki te hanehane.[2]
E 3 ngā momo mū maori ō te pūtoi Isoptera noho i Aotearoa; he Kalotermes brouni, Stolotermes ruficeps me Stolotermes inopinus ngā momo.[3]
