Barry Christopher

Barry Christopher Howard (born August 10, 1971) is an American author,[1] and an operations and finance professional.[2]

Howard is chief operating officer[3][4] (COO) at the New America Foundation, a non-partisan think tank in Washington, D.C., focused on education, public technology, the future of war, artificial intelligence, international security, planetary politics, political reform, and several other key initiatives.[3] Previously, Howard was chief financial officer [5] (CFO) at World Relief, an international relief and development agency working directly in over 30 countries.[5]

In 2020, Howard co-authored Tsunami Watch; Power, Pain and Progress in the American Narrative (2020)[6]

In 2020[7] and 2022,[8] he won DCA Live’s Non-Profit CFO Star award.

In 2025, he received the OnCon ICON Award for being voted in the Top 50 COO's nationwide.[9]

He was a ten-year member of the Board of Trustees[10]of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Society, in Gettysburg.  Howard is the president of the Hereditary Society Community of the United States of America.[11]

Early life

Howard studied at Regis University, graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. in Business in 2000. He completed his graduate work at Johns Hopkins University, earning an M.B.A. in 2012.[2]
