CFI Financial Group is a global brokerage founded in Beirut in 2015 as part of Credit Financier Invest SAL (est. 1998), later relocating its headquarters to Dubai in 2017. It holds twelve regulatory licenses, including in the UK, UAE, Cyprus, Jordan, South Africa, and Egypt, and also operates in several lightly regulated markets. CFI offers trading in stocks, forex, commodities, indices, ETFs, and CFDs.
Since 2019, it has been the official partner of the Jordan Basketball League, and since 2022 it has also been the official partner of the Milan football club.
CFI Financial Group operates globally, with offices across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Oceania. CFI Financial Group supports the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center by contributing donations aimed at helping underprivileged cancer patients receive treatment. The company also allows its clients to donate a portion of their trades, with CFI matching these donations to provide further support to the foundation.[1]
History
[edit]CFI Financial Group was established in Beirut, Lebanon, in 2015 by Hisham Mansour and Eduardo Fakhoury as part of the international expansion of Credit Financier Invest SAL, originally founded in 1998.[2]
In 2017, the company's headquarters relocated to Dubai to strengthen its presence in the Middle East.[3] In 2018, CFI expanded to Jordan, becoming one of the first international brokerage groups to acquire both local and international licenses from the Jordan Securities Commission (JSC).[4] In the same year, CFI opened its UK office in London.[5]
In 2019, CFI opened an office in Port Louis, Mauritius.[6]
In September 2022, AC Milan partnered with CFI Financial Group as an Official Regional Partner to strengthen the football club's presence in the Middle East.[7][8]
In November 2022, CFI expanded into the Egyptian market through acquiring local brokerage firm El Mahrousa.[9]
CFI reported trading volumes of $1.03 trillion in Q3 2024, with an annual total of $2.15 trillion for that year.[10][11]
In January 2024, CFI Financial Group launched a new office regulated by the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) in Dubai.[12] Later that year, it entered the Azerbaijani market by acquiring AzFinance Investment Company and opened a Baku office in February 2025.[13][14] In December 2024, CFI also launched operations in South Africa, establishing an office in Cape Town under the Financial Sector Conduct Authority's approval.[15][16]
Operations
[edit]CFI serves clients from over 100 countries, offering trading in stocks, forex, commodities, indices, ETFs, and CFDs.[17]
The company operates under twelve regulatory licenses, including authorizations in the UK, UAE, Cyprus, Jordan, South Africa, and Egypt. Additionally, the firm maintains regulated operations in Mauritius, Kuwait, Oman, and Palestine.[16][18] CFI operates through numerous entities worldwide, including several in offshore or lightly regulated markets. Industry reports show that beyond its licenses in Cyprus or the UAE, CFI companies are registered in places like Vanuatu, Seychelles, and Mauritius.[19]
CFI has launched several projects, such as Capitalise.ai, TipRanks, and developed its own trading app.[20]
Marketing
[edit]In 2023, the group partnered with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center to fund a new medical unit dedicated to underprivileged patients, scheduled to open by late 2024. Additionally, CFI introduced a client donation initiative, matching contributions made from trading activities to further support the foundation.[21]
CFI Financial Group invests in sports sponsorships to enhance global brand recognition. Notable partnerships include agreements with Nissan E.Dams Formula E Team, the Lebanon men's national basketball team, the Jordan Basketball Federation, the Jordan men's national basketball team,[22][23] Italian football club AC Milan,[24] English Sheffield United F.C.,[25] French Paris Saint-Germain FC,[26] South African cricket team MI Cape Town,[27] as well as 18 teams participating in FIBA West Asia Super League.[28] Prominent global ambassadors for the brand have included Spanish football manager Pep Guardiola in 2022[22] and British racing driver Lewis Hamilton in 2024.[10][29]
