Casper Gabriel (born 18 October 2005) is an Irish‑qualified rugby union player who plays as a fly‑half in the Leinster academy.

Early life

Gabriel began was born in Vienna, Austria and raised in Ireland. He attended Terenure College and gained entry into Leinster's academy. At approximately age 14, he was selected to attend Terenure College after being spotted during a youth tour match in Ireland.[1]

Leinster career

He was fast‑tracked into the 2024–25 Leinster Academy intake.[2][3] As of mid‑2025, he has not yet made a senior appearance, but has been active with Leinster’s under‑19s and “A” squads.[4]

Playing style

At 1.91 m and 93 kg, Gabriel has been praised for his strong left foot, elusiveness and flair. His Terenure coach, Sean Skehan, described him as “the most talented schoolboy that I’ve seen.”[5][6]
