Chmeľov (Hungarian: Komlóskeresztes) is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1212.[citation needed]

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 396 metres and covers an area of 12.63 km2 (4.88 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[4]

Population

It has a population of about 1,040 people (2020-12-31).[5]
