Clinton is a Canadian village in British Columbia, Canada. Clinton is in the South Cariboo region of British Columbia. The population of Clinton was 568 at the 2021 census. The town of Clinton was originally known as 47 Mile House or 47 Mile but was changed to Clinton in 1863 because of the completion of the Cariboo Wagon Road which was in the area for Henry Fiennes Pelham Clinton.
