Collieries Division

SAIL Collieries Division is a central unit of SAIL (Steel Authority of India Limited)looking after the Collieries in Jharkhand & West Bengal.[1]

Presently there are four operating Collieries under Collieries Division. Chasnala Colliery [2] [3], Jitpur Colliery, Ramnagar Colliery & Tasra Colliery. Chasnala, Jitpur & Tasra Collieries are for Coking coal and Ramnagar is for power coal. [4]

There is also a Coal_preparation_plant in Chasnalla [5] [6]under Colliries Division.

The office of Collieries Division is located at Chasnala.
