Defining Education (Chinese: 凝皓教育) is a cram school in Hong Kong found by Jayden Lam Yat Yan, a Chinese tutor in Hong Kong, with Legendary Group Limited (later known as Legendary Education Group) in December 2021.[1] The school is a subsidiary of the Legendary Education Group.[2] The school mainly focuses on the subjects of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, predominantly Chinese, while also providing courses for IELTS, ABRSM and primary school education.[3] The cram school has a total of seven centres across Hong Kong.[4]

History

[edit]

In September 2021, Jayden Lam announced that he would be leaving Beacon College, the cram school that he has taught at since 2011, to found a new cram school under the name "Defining Education". The cram school went operational in December of the same year.[5]

In May 2025, Defining Education sponsored a football match between the Hong Kong national football team and Manchester United F.C., which was promoted as the "Defining Education Challenge Cup".[6] The match was held at the Hong Kong Stadium.[7]
