DOUEN II is a 2025 short folklore horror film written and directed by Alyscia Cunningham. Produced by Her House Media. Drawing from Trinidad and Tobago folklore, DOUEN II explores the supernatural legend of the douen.[1]
The story follows Sania, a young girl helping her aunt Sybil bake traditional Trinidadian bread. As Sybil recounts tales of mischievous spirits and forest protectors, a douen—a mysterious childlike spirit with backward feet and no face—appears, making Sania question whether old stories hold darker truths.
The film stars Kike Ayodeji, Diann Marshall, Clyne Ever, and Shaiday Dancy, and features music by Calypso Rose.
