Abdisa Bancha Jara (Abdiisaa Bancaa Jaarraa in Oromo; born 21 May 1991) is an Ethiopian IT expert and social entrepreneur known for his work in local language digitization and community-driven technology training. He is the coordinator of the Ethiopian and African team for Google Crowdsource and the founder of several tech initiatives aimed at digital inclusion.
Early life and education

Career

He held technology leadership roles at Rift Valley University and became an active contributor to digital literacy initiatives across Ethiopia. Since 2022, Abdisa has served as the coordinator for Google Crowdsource Ethiopia, where he leads efforts to digitize languages such as Oromo, Amharic, Tigrinya, Somali, and Afar.
