Adam Rossen (born 1981) is an American criminal defense attorney, legal educator, and podcast host. He is the chief executive officer and founding attorney of Rossen Law Firm. This South Florida practice handles state and federal criminal matters throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Under Rossen’s leadership, the firm has appeared on Inc. magazine’s list of the 5,000 fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States for three consecutive years, ranking No. 1,445 in 2024.[1]
Early life and education

Rossen was raised in South Florida. He earned dual bachelor’s degrees in psychology and criminology, graduating cum laude from the University of Florida in 2003. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2006.[2] Assistant basketball coach for JCC Maccabi games, gold medal winner 2024. [3]
Career

[edit]After law school Rossen joined the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, 17th Judicial Circuit, where he prosecuted DUI, drug and violent-felony cases. He left the office in 2008.
Rossen Law Firm
[edit]Rossen founded the Rossen Law Firm in Fort Lauderdale in 2008, focusing on criminal defense. The practice has evolved from a solo office to a team of six attorneys and over 20 staff members.
As of 2025, the firm handles cases involving DUI, domestic violence, drug, sex crimes, and white-collar offenses, among others.
Growth and recognition
[edit]Inc. magazine listed the firm No. 2,544 in 2023 and No. 1,445 in 2024, citing a three-year growth rate of 357 percent. [1]
Podcasting and media work
[edit]In 2023 Rossen launched the weekly interview program “Success in South Florida,” featuring regional entrepreneurs and community leaders. The show is distributed on Apple Podcasts and YouTube.[4] [5]
Teaching and mentorship
[edit]Rossen is a pre-law instructor at American Heritage School in Broward County. [6] He also delivers continuing-legal-education (CLE) seminars nationwide on topics such as DUI science, sex-crime defense, and the intersection of behavioral health and criminal law. Selected presentations include:

Notable Cases
[edit]State v. Stephen Scantlebury (2025). Rossen and firm partner Scott Simmons represent a 38-year-old hospital patient charged with attempted second-degree murder after a brutal attack on nurse Leela Lal at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. Rossen has questioned the facility’s Baker-Act procedures and security protocols, telling reporters the incident was “a very tragic situation” that raises “a lot of unanswered questions” about patient handling.[28][29][30]
