Ali Tajdari (Persian: علی تاجداری; born November 30, 1986, in Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian singer, actor, performer, and martial arts champion. He has earned championship titles in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) through several notable organizations, including the World Jaguar Federation (WJF), the BUDO Martial Arts Federation, and the K-1 Fighting Organization.

Sport biography

Ali Tajdari is an Iranian martial artist who has been a member of Iran’s national and federation martial arts teams for approximately eleven years. He began competing in mixed martial arts (MMA) in 2005..[1][2]

In 2013, Tajdari won a mixed martial arts title at the World Martial Arts Festival, which was held on Kish Island, Iran.

In 2014, Tajdari won the championship belt of the Budo organization, becoming one of the titleholders within the organization.[6][7]

Between 2014 and 2020, Tajdari competed in a number of martial arts organizations and federations, participating in over 30 amateur and professional bouts. In 2020, he signed with the Jaguar organization, where he secured victories over Habib Khomazu, Luka Konchiashioli, and Farouh Mohammadov, ultimately winning the championship belt.[8].[9][10]

In 2008, Ali Tajdari defeated Jack Dorsi in a kickboxing match, outscoring him over three rounds to claim the WASKO Championship title.

In 2022, Ali Tajdari challenged Martyn Ford, the American actor and athlete, to a fight.[11]

Artistic biography

Ali Tajdari is an Iranian actor, singer, martial artist, and television host. He is the son of Professor Ali Akbar Tajdari and Mahrokh Pourbaferani, and the brother of Dr. Leila Tajdari. He began his music career in 2008 by releasing several singles, followed by two albums titled Start and Love Story.

Tajdari’s early concerts were held for orphaned children, with proceeds reportedly donated to orphan-related causes. In some cities, attendance was limited to orphans and patients.

He began his acting career in 2012, appearing in the television series Special Love Line. His other acting credits include Plaque, The Butterfly, Fourth Round, and Bi Ghanoon — the latter of which he wrote, directed, and starred in. Tajdari also hosts and directs a talk show titled Uncensored with Ali Tajdari..[12]

One of the most important works is Ali Tajdari Special Love Line Series, this series was broadcast on the third channel of Iran TV(IRIB TV 3)and had fifty-two episodes. Tajdari was the main role of this episodic series, this series had about twenty-five million viewers on Iranian TV.

In 2020, Ali Tajdari created a TV show called Uncensored With Ali Tajdary.[13][14] This talk show, has five seasons and each season has thirty episodes. this talk show talks to people such as patients, addicts and people with gender problems, politicians, artists, and athletes, processing such issues caused the talk show to lose its license to broadcast on television, but due to the desire of the audience is published on a platform called (sarshenasan).[15][16]

  • The film Bi Ghanoon, directed by and starring Ali Tajdari, has a runtime of 110 minutes and falls within the action and sports genres. The film received awards in both France and Russia. Tajdari won the Best Actor award in Russia for his role in the film. In France, the film received two awards: Best Actor, awarded to Tajdari, and Best Cinematography, awarded to Arman Hakimi.[18]
  • Ali Tajdari won the Best Actor Award at the Holy Defense Festival for his film The Butterfly which was about the Iran-Iraq war.

Ali Tajdari began his singing career in 2008 with the release of the song “Shab-e Siah.” Two years later, he continued his music activities by releasing the music video for “Adat.”[24]

Ali Tajdari is also the titular singer of the series Special Love Line.

Tajdary held his first concerts in Iran for cancerous children and gave all the proceeds of these concerts to children with cancer.[26]
