André Rettedal is a Norwegian author and publisher, best known for his debut fantasy Western novel Battle for Barrenwest: The Black Sun (2023), and as the founder of independent imprint Timber Publishing.

Biography

André Rettedal was born in Norway. He developed an early interest in speculative fiction, drawing inspiration from classic Westerns, epic fantasy, and mythology. Rettedal’s writing career began with short stories and gradually grew into full-length novels.

In 2023, he published his debut novel Battle for Barrenwest: The Black Sun, a genre-blending fantasy Western that received praise for its atmospheric storytelling and complex characters.

Timber Publishing

In parallel with his writing career, Rettedal founded Timber Publishing, a boutique independent publishing house focused on genre fiction including fantasy, science fiction, and Westerns.
