Career
[edit]Appleby launched his musical career in 2014 by releasing early works such as Spit On Me on SoundCloud[2], and in 2018, his feature in ChicagoCreatives[3] provided the public with deeper insights into Appleby's musical trajectory.
Appleby achieved notable commercial success with his 2021 single "Enough" which accumulated over 8 million streams on Spotify[4]. His most popular track to date is the 2023 collaboration "Emergency" with Lonely In the Rain, which has amassed 9 million streams[5] on the platform. In an interview with PopMatters[6], Appleby revealed that he composed "Enough" during a period of emotional turmoil, reflecting on his treatment of his romantic partner, for whom the song was written.
In early 2025, Appleby expanded his international reach by entering the Chinese music market with the music video for "Without You". His videos garnered significant attention, receiving over 373,000 likes on Xiaohongshu(RedNote)[7]. Additionally, he was invited for an exclusive interview by the British music magazine Clash Magazine[8], further highlighting his growing prominence in the global music industry.
