Aref Jalayeri (born 1990) is an Iranian musician, composer, and dotar player known for his contributions to the traditional music of Northern Khorasan. He combines Kurdish (Kermanji) folk music elements with modern instrumentation, particularly synthesizers and keyboards. Jalayeri’s family originates from the Hezarmasjed region in Razavi Khorasan province.

As a teenager, he began learning the dotar independently and later explored electronic instruments. His musical vision centers on fusing ancient folk traditions with contemporary sounds.

His performances often involve a combination of traditional singing and dotar playing, supported by synthesized backdrops.
