BadUpdate is a exploit for Xbox 360. It can be triggered on currently Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (NTSC/PAL/RF) or Rock Band Blitz (trial or full game). It is not a persistent exploit but does not require a modchip. There are restrictions to this exploit and it is not a softmod and writing to the NAND will result in a brick (e.g. installing games to the NAND). The exploit requires a dashboard version of 17559. The exploit may take upwards of 20 minutes and has a 30% success rate.
Rock Band Blitz
[edit]On Rock Band Blits, the exploit DaTArrest is used to gain ACE. Rock Band DLC or custom songs is required not to be on the SD, BadUpdate will fail if there is any.
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland
[edit]A modified version of the Tony Hawk's Pro Strcpy exploit is utilized.
