Belarus 3 (Belarusian: Беларусь 3) is a cultural and educational TV channel of the Belteleradiocompany, the first digital TV channel of the Republic of Belarus. It broadcasts in two languages — Belarusian (mostly) and Russian. It started broadcasting on February 8, 2013.

It is an educational and entertainment TV channel created in 2003 by Belteleradiocompany, which until 2011 carried the name LAD (ЛАД). The channel broadcasts in both Belarusian and Russian languages.

History

The TV channel began broadcasting on February 8, 2013 at 7:50 a.m. with the screening of the documentary "Horackija Paciechi" from the cycle "Ziamla Bielaruskaja"[1]. The broadcast of the TV channel at first ended with the program "Kalychanka" at 20:00. Later, the channel increased the screening of feature films and TV series, film adaptations of literary works, and broadcast time.

The Belarus 3 TV channel is the first digital channel of Belarusian television, which is broadcast as the eighth slot in the first multiplex, in a free package of digital television programs[4].
