Ben Fuchs

Ben Fuchs is an American financial advisor and the founder.[1] of Fuchs Financial, a registered investment advisory firm based in Connecticut. He is known for his work in retirement planning, income strategies, and personalized financial services aimed at pre-retirees and retirees. Fuchs has appeared in regional media, contributed to local financial education initiatives, and co-hosts a television program focused on demystifying retirement planning.

Early Life and Education

Fuchs was born in Nashville, Tennessee and later attended the University of Connecticut,[2] where he earned a bachelors degree in Business & Technology. He began his career working in real estate investments in 2003[3]. After the 2008 financial crisis, Fuchs returned home and transitioned into becoming a financial advisor. In 2019, he founded Fuchs Financial[4]

Fuchs founded Fuchs Financial to provide personalized financial guidance with a focus on retirement income planning, wealth management, and tax-efficient strategies. The firm has expanded its reach through both in-person and virtual consultations, with clients across Connecticut and other states.

He is a fiduciary advisor and holds certifications relevant to the financial services industry, including his CFP®[5] and CPWA®.

Fuchs is the creator and host of "How to Retire with Fuchs Financial[6]", a weekly 28-minute television program aired on regional stations throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. The program features educational content aimed at simplifying retirement decisions for viewers and is structured around common retirement planning myths and solutions.

Fuchs has featured across news segments weekly including Great Day Connecticut with Scot Haney on WFSB[7], CT Morning Buzz with Rachel Lutzker on WTNH, and CT Live on NBCCT[8]. He has spoken at retirement planning seminars and workshops throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. His content often centers on Social Security optimization, tax strategies in retirement, investment planning, and required minimum distributions (RMDs).

In 2025, Fuchs was named Runner-Up for Best Financial Advisor in Connecticut in the Best of Hartford Awards[9], a regional recognition based on reader nominations and votes of the Hartford Courant.

Personal Life

Fuchs resides in West Hartford, Connecticut.[10] Outside of his professional role, he is active in local community events and supports financial literacy education in schools and nonprofits.
