CCE Group is an international group of companies engaged in the engineering, manufacturing, and servicing of aircraft cabin and cargo equipment. Headquartered in Paris, France, the group provides specialized aviation components including cargo loading systems, galley inserts, catering equipment, and lightweight composite materials used in commercial aircraft interiors. Its solutions are used by major commercial airlines, air cargo operators, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) globally.
History
[edit]CCE Group was officially formed in June 2023 after French private equity firm Hivest Capital Partners acquired two aerospace subsidiaries—AviusULD and Driessen Catering Equipment—from Safran Group.[1] The acquisition created a focused industrial platform dedicated to aviation cabin and cargo equipment.
In March 2024, aerospace executive Klaus Hofmann was appointed CEO of the group. He previously held leadership roles at Zodiac Aerospace and Safran.[2]
In March 2025, CCE Group completed its first major acquisition by acquiring Trip & Co, a Dutch manufacturer specializing in air cargo safety solutions including fire containment covers and thermal insulation.[3]
Name
[edit]The name "CCE Group" derives from the company’s specialization in Cabin and Cargo Equipment. It reflects the legacy and expertise of the group’s founding entities—particularly Driessen Catering Equipment and AviusULD—which were formerly part of Safran's aerospace portfolio.[1]
Operations
[edit]CCE Group operates across five countries, maintaining engineering and manufacturing facilities in Europe and Southeast Asia, including a major hub in Thailand.[4] The company provides centralized support services such as engineering, procurement, and international sales to drive operational synergy across its subsidiaries.
CCE emphasizes lean manufacturing, sustainability, and compliance with aviation standards, serving clients such as commercial airlines, OEMs, MROs, and freight carriers.[5]
Subsidiaries and Acquisitions
[edit]AviusULD
[edit]AviusULD is a manufacturer of unit load devices (ULDs) for air cargo. Acquired in 2023, AviusULD focuses on lightweight and regulatory-compliant cargo containers and pallets.[6]
Driessen Catering Equipment
[edit]Driessen Catering Equipment is a leader in onboard galley inserts including trolleys, containers, ovens, and beverage makers. Known for modular design and certification standards, the company has decades of experience serving global airlines.[7]
Trip & Co
[edit]Trip & Co, acquired in 2025, is a Dutch manufacturer that produces air cargo safety solutions such as fire containment covers and thermal protection systems. Its integration expands CCE’s offerings in cargo safety and regulatory compliance.[3]
