Casepeat (real name: Kim Ki-Won, born May 20, 1992) is a South Korean electronic music producer, DJ, and film music composer. He has received recognition within the global trance and progressive electronic music scenes. Active since the mid-2010s, Casepeat has released numerous singles and EPs through international trance labels.
Early Life and Career
[edit]Born in South Korea, Casepeat began producing electronic music in his teenage years, influenced by the global trance scene.
In a 2023 interview with Flux BPM Online, an electronic music magazine, Casepeat described himself as a DJ, film music director, and electronic music producer based in Seoul, South Korea. He discussed his recent release, When I Saw You, under Elpida Music, and shared his plans to expand his audience and continue producing trance music.
Casepeat has released tracks on numerous respected labels, including Subculture, Nocturnal Knights Music, Regenerate Records, and AVA Recordings, among others. His music has been supported by prominent trance radio shows such as Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance, Aly & Fila’s Future Sound of Egypt, Paul van Dyk’s VONYC Sessions, Andrew Rayel’s Find Your Harmony, Solarstone’s Pure Trance Radio, and more.
