Christopher Bommarito is an American entrepreneur and engineer, best known as the founder and President of Castor Engineering, a Michigan-based firm specializing in manufacturing automation and process improvement. Under his leadership, Castor Engineering has gained recognition for its innovative solutions in the manufacturing sector.
Early life and education
[edit]Bommarito was born in Royal Oak, MI on June 27, 1985.
He studied as an undergraduate student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Western Michigan University, where he contributed to research projects related to robotics and automation.[1]
He earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Western Michigan University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Career
[edit]In 2018, Bommarito founded Castor Engineering, aiming to provide customized automation solutions to manufacturing companies. The company's focus on improving operational efficiency through tailored engineering services has led to significant growth.
In 2024, Castor Engineering was ranked No. 2,394 on the Inc. 5000 list, highlighting a 217% three-year growth rate.[2]
Bommarito's leadership and contributions to the engineering field were recognized in 2024 when he was named one of Crain's Detroit Business's "40 Under 40" honorees.[3]
